We’ve got a few new faces around the farm that we’d love to introduce. Meet this years farm team!
Mia and Chris are the owners and operators of Small Acres and are excited for their 11th growing season! Quest, now 9 years old, says he wants to be a farmer when he grows up but has not yet gotten excited about the farm chores. He does love playing in the dirt and finding little critters!
Boston is back for her fourth season! She helps with all the day-to-day tasks of running the farm, crop planning, supervising interns, and managing wholesale orders. She also loves creating new scents for our luffa soap! She is happiest when she is outside making the farm look good.
Henry is graduating from Western Washington University with a Masters in Environmental Studies where he focused on food systems change and why consumers choose to buy local food. He is excited to get his hands dirty experiencing the production side of local food.
Kate is studying Sustainability, Food Systems, Project Management, and Climate Leadership at Western Washington University. She is passionate about food justice and making meaningful community connections through a shared love of fresh, delicious produce!
Sten is excited to combine his experience as a chef and a farm worker to create an abundance of lacto-fermented products from all of the fresh veggies coming out of our field. His first task is to whip up a batch of kimchi!
We are thrilled to have them all onboard and hope you get to meet them at the farm or CSA pick up!
